Welcome to the SDAS website and we hope you find some very interesting articles on here that will increase your knowledge and most of all your enjoyment of keeping fish

Here at SDAS and as I am sure as every club has a variable range of fishkeeping talents, we have members with lengths of experience from just starting out to those who can breed fish at will! Also we have people just happy enough to just keep their fish as healthy specimens and display them in superb aquariums. Species from smallest 12mm fish to the biggest 475mm and still growing and also stripey (sorry Pete…Lineated) to spotty (sorry Pete…)..I think you get the idea, Pete is the living fish encyclopaedia or should that be has knowledge of fish, he’s not a fish himself. So we also have a sense of fun as well.

We usually have lectures, film shows or general discussions on practical things, show results, overcoming problems, food supplies and of course breeding. Also regular trips to Holland and round robin trips to establishments north of Watford, to conventions.
