Chairman

Ken Biggs

Ken caught the fish 'bug' after visiting a local fish shop with a friend. That was over thirty years ago and it led to a life long hobby of keeping tropical fish. He is a member of the British Cichlid Association and has kept a variety of Cichlids, with a particular interest in Angels. He also keeps Characins and a selection of Tetras, all of which he successfully shows.

Ken believes that members should be fully involved in all aspects of the club's activities, with a few principal officers who's main role is to organise, administer and steer the development of the club. He has been a member of Strood club for six years and is currently in his third year as Chairman.

Ode to a Cardinal
Eighty little Cardinals all in a row,
Wham! Went the Angels
ten have gotta go.
Seventy little cardinals swimming faster now,
Wham! Went the Angels
Darn good Chow!
One little Cardinal hides behind a rock.
Wham! went the Angel
Damn! Need to restock!

With thanks to Phillipa Dixon of the Marlborough Aquarium Club in New Zealand.
