Welcome
|
Welcome to Strood & District Aquarist Society. The society was formed in
1970 and was originally known as "Elliotts Aquarist Society", it being based at
the Elliotts Electronics Company in Rochester. After just a few years, it was
decided to cease to be a "works" club, so it moved to Strood and at this time,
adopted its current name. Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th
Tuesday of each month starting at 8pm at "Crispin and Crispianus", 8, London Road, Strood,
Rochester, Kent. ME2 3HT. Tel: 01634 719 912. See our
programme for 2007. The society is fortunate in having a number of
aquarists of long standing experience. The knowledge they have gained over the years is always freely
available to club members. Whilst we are not experts on all fishes, we have a
very broad knowledge of most genera. Please don't feel that because you are a
relative newcomer to fish keeping you will be totally out of place and that
much of what is being discussed will be over your head. All of our members are
committed to assist you if at all possible. If you would like to come and visit
– with no obligation to join, just come to a meeting and you will be made most
welcome. Ken Biggs,
Chairman.
